Arriving on Zakynthos
The ferry docks in Zakynthos town (Zante), the island capital. Solomos Square and the church of Saint Dionysios, the island's patron saint, are on the waterfront.
Island buses (KTEL Zakynthos)
KTEL Zakynthos publishes local routes from town to Alikes, Argasi, Kalamaki, Laganas, Tsilivi and Vasilikos–Porto Roma, plus the intercity buses to Athens, Patras and Thessaloniki. Station: Iatrou Mothonaiou street, Zakynthos 29100 · +30 26950 22255 · info@ktel-zakynthos.gr.
Zakynthos Airport (ZTH)
If you fly out of, or into, the island: Zakynthos “Dionysios Solomos” Airport is run by Fraport Greece. The airport says a bus links it with Zakynthos town, with the stop outside the terminal (arrivals), and taxis wait outside the terminal. KTEL Zakynthos publishes the town–airport bus times.

Before you head back
Check the return sailing to Kyllini with Levante the day before, especially outside summer or in windy weather. If you are taking the KTEL bus back to Athens, remember that the ferry ticket is separate.
